Want to Contribute?

How do I become a Contributor to your page?

By letting us know you’d love to share your story!! We would love to give you a voice on our site!

How often do I have to write?

With the amount of contributors we have, we are estimating each one will write once every 2-3 months. This is a great opportunity for someone who LOVES to write but doesn’t have the time to maintain their own blog or Facebook page!

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, PLEASE don’t hesitate to contact us!

Submissions will be posted on a first come, first serve basis BEFORE we start repeating contributors.

What topics are you looking for?

Anything and everything related to women and rural living… How a rural woman grocery shops, what projects keep you busy during a long winter, simple and easy meals for families during the week, fashion for the rural woman!

We are open to any and all ideas! If you have ideas for posts but don’t like to write, please send us your ideas! Our founder’s best tips for writing: just be yourself and write from the heart!

About how long of a post are you looking for?

About 3-4 paragraphs. It doesn’t need to be anything super fancy or information intensive. Our co-founder’s post, 10 Ways Being Married to a Farmer Will Change Your Life, is a great example of a short, simple, and personal post that got a lot of attention!

What do I need in order to submit a post?

In order to submit a post to us, we will also need a bio photo (preferably a headshot style photo) along with a brief bio about you: who you are, where you are from, what you do, and what makes you a rural woman!

For your post, you will need to submit to us:

  • Please include a small description for us to use on Facebook & Twitter to share your post. Questions are a great way to engage our audience on both pages.
  • Please submit your photos separate from your Submission to use to enhance your post. Photos can be emailed to us at ruralhousewives@gmail.com

How do I submit a post to you?

You can use our Submission Page or feel free to email it to us at ruralhousewives@gmail.com. We will be sure to get in contact with you before your post appears on our page!

Thank you for your consideration in contributing! It’s because of not only our readers but also our contributors this community has been possible!
